We are SO EXCITED to announce that we will be the
FIRST CeCe Caldwell's Chalk & Clay Paint Retailer for the State of Indiana.

If you are not familiar with CeCe Caldwell's Paints here is a bit of background or feel free to click the link to CeCe Caldwell's Website. There you will find a ton of information as well as other distributors and retailers around the United States.

CeCe Caldwell’s Paints are 100 % naturally green, eco-Friendly, natural clay paints that are people & earth friendly.  The are completely manufactured in the U.S.A.They have NO Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC’s), completely non-toxic & have absolutely no odor; it’s a mineral paint. The minerals are clay, porcelain clay, & chalk blended into a water-base solution. The clear wax is very low odor, non-streaking & made from insect & plant sources. Both paint & wax are packaged in recycled plastic containers.

The paint is self-priming with superior adhesion. Meaning, most surfaces don’t require an prep work. One or two coats generally will give you complete coverage. Follow with a coat of clear wax & you have painting made easy, whether you’re a DIYer, professional, or a first-time painter.
The color inspiration comes from both coastal regions, the soaring mountain areas, the great grain fields, the spectacular deserts, the big cities and the rural towns all across the United States.
CeCe Caldwell’s Paints are an eco-friendly, easy to use chalk & clay paint.

I Was Featured! and Winter Cleaning???

I was FEATURED!!!  So exciting!

Mandy, over at Project Queen was so sweet to feature my antique hand painted drop leaf table that I had shared in her link Party last week!
Thank you Mandy!  I am honored!

If you missed that post, you can view it here!
I also wanted to share just a few updated pictures.  Not a lot of new projects completed this week.  I had a computer virus (even though I had anti-virus protection on my computer) that completely crashed my laptop on Wednesday.  You don't realize how much you do on a computer these days until you don't have one.  I was at work (my real job) when this happened.  I had to take my laptop to get it fixed because I could access NOTHING. Then Istopped by home to figure out what I was going to do with my day.  I couldn't work and I had no child for the day! Now what?  I can't tell you the last time I had a day completely to my self. So I had been wanting to completely reshuffle, dust and just give the booth a fresh new look!  This was just the day to do this!  So off I went.  However, not thinking that I would want to share this, I forgot the camera.  So I used my cell phone.  The pictures are not the best, but that's all I had.  You will get the idea!

This was a project that I actually completed last weekend, but thought it was worth sharing.  It's an old oak chair that my dad and step-mom picked up at an auction last summer and gave to me.  It's been sitting in my garage waiting for me to do something with it!  It was rather rustic, so I felt I needed to stick with that look.  I painted it in Tavern Green (LOVE THIS COLOR) Old Fashioned Milk Paint.  I will warn you...brace your self, it's green...this is not for those that are shy with color!
I loved the color SO MUCH, I decided to paint a little table I had in the same color!
That's it!
Thank you again to Mandy over at Project Queen.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Ciao for now! Kellie

Congrats Giants and a new paint!

First, I would like to say Congratulations to The New York Giants for winning Super Bowl XLVI!  It was an great game with an exciting ending!  Sorry to all you Pats fans, but I was cheering for the Giants along with about 90% of Indianapolis!  How can you not, when it's Peyton's little brother?

As the Sunday paper said, "It's a matchup fraught with soap-opera drama: Peyton Manning's decade-long chief rival, Tom Brady vs. Payton's kid brother, Eli Manning, at Lucas Oil Stadium, aka, "The House That Peyton Built."

Nothing like your own brother winning the Super Bowl in your stadium.  I am sure the Manning family is beyond words right now!  Congrats Eli and The Giants.

Then I would like to say Congrats and Kudos to the city of Indianapolis for hosting such a FABULOUS event!  I am lucky enough to live right here in Indy and was able to experience the events first hand.  The city did an AMAZING job!  What an exciting couple of weeks! However, it leaves you kind of melancholy today....what now?'s time to share with you what I mentioned in my post last Monday, but at the time wasn't ready to completely let the cat out of the bag!  Pam at From My Porch to Yours, had left a comment on my blog so I decided to check her out. While reading through her blog, she mentioned a new Chalk & Clay Paint!

Another paint...Chalk Like Paint!
Why hadn't I heard about this?

So I immediately, pulled up another tab and Google it!
With in about 5 minutes, I ordered my first can.

The paint arrived on my front door step 2 days later, but we had spent the entire day at the Children's Museum with my daughter and then she had dance class that night, so I didn't get the package until about 8 pm that night. After we put my daughter to bed around 8:30 that night; down the stairs I went to start a project!

Now, I know most of you would have started some big grand project, but lets face it, it was really almost 9pm before I got started and I have an almost 3 year old that would be up fairly early that I would have to tend to.  I happen to be one of those people that needs NO less than 7 hours of sleep or I am worthless and CRANKY!  So starting a large project at 9pm and being up til all hours of the night was not an option.  So I painted some picture frames just to try the paint...because I couldn't wait!  I was THRILLED!!! with the results.

Completely 100% Green.  NO Voc's, NO ....I mean NO odor, and completely NON-Toxic!

The ingredients were even printed on the can!!!  So after I tested the product on wood, metal and plastic!  I was sold!

Onto bigger and better.  I had a chest of drawers and night stand that I was custom painting for a friend of mine. This was the perfect paint for the job!

Here is a before of her dresser! Still in great shape, she was just ready for a change!

Here is the dresser and night stand after 2 coats of Paint and 2 coats of wax!

So are you ready to hear what I used????

CeCe Caldwell's Chalk & Clay Paint!
So now you are asking how is this different from Annie Sloan Chalk Paint?
That will be another post! So stay tuned.

For now....The colors are different and can be viewed HERE.

If you would like to order a can...That can be done through Chantelle at Bungalow 47!  She is great and will be happy to help anyway she can!

So what are you waiting for?  Go order a can and try it for yourself!  I promise you won't be disappointed!
